Chapter 5: A Sweet Trade

Goo Goo held out the pitcher of lemonade. The driver smiled. He took a long, cool drink. "Thank you," he said. "That hits the spot." In return, he handed Goo Goo and Carolyn each a cold ice cream cone. They sat on the porch together, licking their ice cream in the warm sun. Goo Goo smiled. She had learned that when you work together, think creatively, and share what you have, everyone gets something sweet.
